Beta testing is a great way to help with SGPlus and to get the latest and greatest features before they come out. But there are a few things to know.

Before you jump into beta testing the latest version of SGPlus, please read this document completely. If you fail to do so, you not only do not help development of the tool, but you actively hurt it. I know it sounds dramatic, but it is true. Incomplete bug reports waste my time and therefore make me take longer to find the issue. Sorry for sounding like a jerk.

Bugs

There are several ways bugs can manifest, but it is always true that the more information you provide the easier it will be for me to solve. Here are somethings that you must do:

• If there is an error message, copy and paste the whole thing word-for-word (or screenshot it).
• If something did not happen that you expected to happen, describe the precise conditions.
• Be clear if the bug was a one-time issue or if it happens every time (or once in a while or...)

As an example, saying simply "it will not post to Facebook" is not a good bug report. On the other hand, this is a good bug report:

I am attempting to post a status update from the homepage of Google Plus in my Google Plus stream. I have the Facebook icon enabled in SGPlus but not the Twitter icon. There is a link in the post, no images, and a short bit of text. When I press the button to send the post, no notification of any kind appears from SGPlus. The post is successfully posted to Google Plus of course, but nothing goes to Twitter. There is no error message.

It may seem excessive, but it will help me and the service a lot. Thanks!

Installation

Completely uninstall any previous versions of SGPlus from your browser before installing this. If you ever want to go back to using an official Store version, just uninstall this beta build and reinstall from the web store.

Updating

BETA VERSIONS DO NOT AUTO UPDATE. You need to manually come back to this page to check for updates if you wish to continue using beta versions.
